The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in a Homicide investigation. 

On Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 7:02 p.m., police responded to a stabbing at the front of 551 The West Mall.

On Wednesday, May 4, 2016, the Toronto Police Service, with the assistance of the Peel Regional Police Service, arrested two 17-year-old boys. 

They are charged with: 

1. Second Degree Murder. 

The two boys are scheduled to appear at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. 

They cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act 

Please refer to Section 110, Subsection 1, of the YCJA: 

110. (1) Subject to this section, no person shall publish the name of a young person, or any other information related to a young person, if it would identify the young person as a young person dealt with under this Act.* 

No other suspects are being sought at this time.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in a sexual assault investigation. 

It is reported that: 

- on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was walking through King’s Mill Park located in the area of Bloor Street West and Royal York Road 

- a man approached the woman from behind and forced her to the ground 

- the man intimidated the woman with a knife 

- the man sexually assaulted her 

- the man fled on foot 

He is described as having a black complexion, approximately 5'9" to 5'10" with a skinny build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a blue bandana covering his face.

The Toronto Police is seeking the public's assistance in an ongoing Homicide investigation.

On Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 7:12 p.m., police responded to a stabbing at the rear of 551 The West Mall.

It is reported that:

- once on scene police located a boy without vital signs, he had suffered apparent stab wounds,

- he was pronounced at the scene

He has been identified as Saed Keyliye, 17, of Toronto.

A post-mortem examination has determined the cause of death was as a result of a stab wound.

Toronto Police Service Hold Up is seeking the public's assistance identifying a man involved in a bank robbery investigation into two financial institution robberies in Toronto and two in York Region. 

It is alleged that: 

- on Friday, January 15, 2016, in The West Mall and Bloor Street West area, a man entered the bank with his face concealed by sunglasses, a scarf, a hat and hood 

- the man handed over a hold up note indicating he was armed with a weapon 

- the man made a demand for money 

- the man was given a quantity of cash and fled 

It is further alleged that: 

- on Saturday, February 13, 2016 , in the Bloor Street West and Windermere Avenue area, a man entered the bank with his face concealed by sunglasses, a scarf, a hat and hood 

- the man handed over a hold up note indicating he was armed with a weapon 

- the man made a demand for money 

- the man was given a quantity of cash and fled 

There were two more robberies in York Region on Thursday, February 18, 2016 in King City, and on Friday, March 4, 2016, near Hwy 7 & Hwy 27 in Vaughan. 

He is described as white, in his 30s, 5'5"-5'8", thin build, with a slight moustache.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a series of Sexual Assaults on TTC subway trains.

It is alleged that:

- between October 2015 and March 2016, a man sexually assaulted four women on TTC subway trains along the Bloor/Danforth line

- the women targeted were seated and travelling alone

- the man would sit directly beside the woman

- the man would then sexually assault the woman

Stephen Oberhammer, 36, of Toronto, has been arrested. He is charged with

1) four counts of sexual assault

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be other victims.

- the man placed his hand on her lap, twice

- the man disembarked at Kipling station

He is described as 25 - 35, 5’10”, with brown hair in a ponytail. He was wearing beige pants, a black jacket, brown boots, and a beige baseball cap worn backwards. He was carrying a black computer bag.

On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at approximately 4 a.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a Break-and-Enter at the Etobicoke Civic Centre, at 2 Civic Centre Court.

It is alleged that:

- at approximately 2:30 a.m., a man damaged five City of Toronto vehicles in the parking lot

- the man then smashed windows of the building before gaining entry

- the man then caused damage on every floor within the building, including furniture, office equipment, 23 office windows, and the discharging of fire extinguishers, with estimated damage exceeding $100,000

On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 10:40 p.m., Adam Peron, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Break-and-Enter Commit
2) Mischief - Over ($5000)
3) seven counts of Mischief - Under ($5000)
4) Fail to Comply with Recognizance
5) Fail to Comply with Probation

He was scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, March 31, 2016, 10 a.m., .

On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, TPS Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Section officers executed a search warrant in theRoyal York Road/The Queensway area. 

It is alleged that: 

- a man was actively making, possessing, and accessing Child Pornography 

Jeremy Drowns, 40, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with: 

1) Make Child Pornography 
2) Possession Child Pornography 
3) two counts of Accessing Child Pornography 

He appeared in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 2 p.m.

The Toronto Police Service is advising the public of an arrest in a series of Distraction Thefts in 22 Division since August 2015. 

On Friday, March 4, 2016, at 2 p.m., police responded to a call for a woman allegedly using distraction techniques to steal jewelry from unsuspecting people. 

It is alleged that: 

- a 35-year-old woman, driving a car with a man, would stop to ask for help 

- she targeted older, infirm and disabled people 

- if people would offer assistance, she would engage them in conversation 

- during the conversation, she would offer to give them jewelry she had on her 

- when she put the jewelry on, she would remove their jewelry 

On Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 7:15 p.m., Mihaela Miclescu, 35, of Toronto, was arrested. She is charged with: 

1) 14 counts of Theft Under $5000 

She appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday, March 6, 2016, 10 a.m., room 101. 

Police believe there may be other victims.

- a 49-year-old woman was attempting to cross Dundas Street West, on the west side of Poplar Avenue 

− the bus struck the woman 

The 49-year-old woman was taken to hospital. On Tuesday, February 2, 2016, she succumbed to her injuries.

- a 33-year-old woman was driving a Honda CRV, westbound on Birmingham Street at 21st Street 

- the Toyota sideswiped the Honda, then left the roadway, striking a house 

The 88-year-old woman was pronounced at the scene.

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a Sexual Assault investigation. 

It is reported that: 

- on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a 18-year-old woman was in the Eglinton Avenue West and Lloyd Manor Road area 

- an unknown man approached the woman 

- the woman continued to walk, and the man followed her 

- the man attempted to have a conversation with the woman 

- near the area of Winsland Drive and Winterton Drive , the man took the woman to a secluded area 

- the man sexually assaulted the woman 

The man is described as having a brown complexion, 18-20, 5'5", brown eyes, black hair and a beard. He has a lazy eye. He was wearing black pants and a red hoodie.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance locating a missing man.

Ernest "Ernie" Smith, 86, was last seen on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 7 a.m., in the Highway 401/Highway 427 area.

He is described as 5'5", 190 lbs., with grey hair. He may be wearing glasses, a multi-coloured sweatshirt, khakis, brown loafers, a black windbreaker, and a baseball cap.

He may be driving a black, 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis with Ontario licence plate BTPD 724.

Police are concerned for his safety.

Arrest in shooting investigation,
Frederick Leon, 20, faces 35 charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a shooting investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at approximately 4 a.m., a man went to an apartment in the Lake Shore Boulevard West/11th Street area

- a 22-year-old man admitted the man

- an altercation ensued, resulting in the man shooting the 22-year-old man in the abdomen

The 22-year-old man was taken to hospital.

On Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 4:25 p.m., officers located and arrested the man.

Frederick Leon, 20, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Aggravated Assault
2) Robbery
3) 28 firearm- and weapons-related charges
4) five drug-related charges

He was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday, January 22, 2016, 10 a.m., courtroom 101.

On Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at 6:24 p.m., police received a call for a shooting in the The Kingsway/Princess Margaret Boulevard area.

Police arrived and found the victim with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Alfredo Patriarca, 42, of Toronto.

Police are appealing to anyone in the area who may have seen or heard anything, as well as anyone who may have home security camera footage from the area of the shooting.

Police are also specifically appealing to those citizens who stopped to assist the victim at the time of the shooting. We ask that you contact Toronto Police Homicide.
