Every neighbourhood has at least two Community Response Unit Officers.
Toronto Police Service has consistently emphasized the importance of having officers dedicated to neighbourhoods in order to build trust and strengthen community partnerships, aid in the understanding of the local environment, identify, prioritize and reduce crime and disorder, and assist in developing solutions to reduce crime and disorder.
While each neighbourhood has at least two assigned Community Response Unit Officers, they may sometimes be asked to respond to calls in other neighbourhoods, depending on the level of demand and the urgency of the situation.
Community members interested in speaking with their assigned Community Response Unit Officer(s) are encouraged to call the 22 Division Community Response Office at 416-808-2219.
