    If it’s a Police, Fire or Medical emergency, call 9-1-1.

    Call 9-1-1 when there’s a risk to life or property such as a person with a gun/weapon, there’s a robbery or assault in progress, or an auto collision where someone is seriously injured and requires an ambulance.

    The 9-1-1 emergency number should only be called when an immediate response from Police, Fire or Ambulance is required.

    The 9-1-1 number must remain open and available for actual emergencies that require an immediate response from the police, fire or ambulance.

    Help when you need it most.

    If you are feeling like you have lost hope and are struggling to cope, if you are dealing with thoughts of suicide, or if you are worried about someone else.

    A safe space to talk, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

    Anonymous reports about crimes that have occurred, or that you believe will happen in the future, can be made to

    Crime Stoppers Toronto. The anonymity of tips received by this non-profit community agency are guaranteed by the Supreme Court of Canada since 1997. Tips are forwarded to the police for investigation. The identity of the tipster is never known.

    Crime Stoppers can be reached by phone anonymously in Toronto at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or toll free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) from anywhere in North America, or text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).

    211 Central operates a 24-hour line to link people to government services as well as community-led organizations providing social services. (Food; Housing; Mental Health; Employment/Training; Healthcare; Black & Indigenous Focused Programs)

  • 311 – Toronto at Your Service

    The Toronto At Your Service number is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, providing information on City of Toronto services and referring requests to appropriate City Divisions.

    311 Toronto provides access to information about City of Toronto services and programs such as animal services, permits and licences, child care, garbage and recycling, utility bills and taxes, graffiti on public property, noise complaints and zoning, pot-hole repairs, front-yard permit parking and more.

    Assistance is available in more than 180 languages and TTY service for the hearing impaired at 416-338-OTTY (0889)

  • Police Non-Emergency Line

    The police non-emergency line 416-808-2222 allows residents to connect with police services, personnel and programs. It is also the place to report crimes that are not, or are no longer an emergency, for instance if your home has been broken into but no one is on your property.

    The Toronto Police Service will take all reports of crime over the non-emergency line, however, we always encourage everyone to use our online reporting services for your convenience.
